THINKWATER Ludlow is all about our use of water.

Strangely enough, Thinkwater started in the world of fashion, an industry worried about its water footprint. On average 2700L of water, enough to fill a telephone box, is used to make a humble T-Shirt. Closer to home, each and every one of us use around the same volume every 15 days or so, Compare this with facts like, for example, 5000 children die each day from a shortage of clean water. You soon realise we should all value and celebrate the stuff – and use it wisely. So, Thinkwater is about raising community awareness of the value of water. It is about celebrating the hidden “virtual water” in everyday items, and uses the humble T-Shirt as an iconic device. It is also about our consumption of water from the tap - currently ~ 150 litres each day for the average UK resident.

Thinkwater hopes to change individual behaviour towards reduced water consumption in everyday life, using water diaries as a tool for self-evaluation.
